Conveyancing
Buying, selling or remortgaging property, with clear updates at every stage.
Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest transactions most people make. We handle the legal work carefully and keep you updated, so you always know what is happening and what comes next.
How we can help
- Buying a property: freehold and leasehold, including first-time buyers
- Selling a property
- Remortgaging
- Transfer of equity: adding or removing someone from the title
- Leasehold matters: lease extensions and reviewing lease terms
What we do for you
We check the title and searches, raise enquiries with the other side, review your mortgage offer, handle the exchange of contracts and completion, pay any Stamp Duty Land Tax and register you as the owner at HM Land Registry.
Frequently asked questions
How long does conveyancing take?
A typical purchase takes around 12 to 16 weeks, but it depends on the chain, searches and mortgage lender.
What is the difference between exchange and completion?
At exchange, the contract becomes legally binding. At completion, the money is transferred and you get the keys.
How much will it cost?
Ask us for a quote. We will explain all costs, including disbursements and VAT, before you instruct us.
